Death of a Cell Phone

(A dirge...)

My phone
You were alive once
Your battery in full life
Keeper of my phone book and my music
Uncomplaining mail man and call operator...

Till one day and a splash later
Your short life came to an untimely end...

Forgive me if you can...
I deeply mourn your absence.

(And rue the fact that I was so careless! :-( And on top of that, I have no money to buy a new one!)
