8000!) for a sandwich??Created by chef Martin Blunos, the world's most expensive sandwich contains slices of quail's egg, heirloom black tomato, epicure apple, figs and specially created white truffle cheese on a £5 loaf of sourdough bread, dressed with extra virgin olive oil. The sandwich was garnished with a salad of mustard reds, pea shoots and red amaranth. The cost factor was raised another notch by a topping of edible gold dust!
